Lake Houbsougul. Darhatskaya Depression.

Lake Houbsougul is a virgin freshwater clean lake located on The North of Mongolia. It is situated at the bottom of the highest peak of East Siberia - Mounkou Sardyk, and it's not far from Russian border among the deciduous taiga. The mountain range surrounds the Lake from the western part, and from the eastern one, there is the taiga road on which the ready-made offroaders can drive during the dry season. In the deep taiga, you can find hot springs and peloid.
The Lake and the flow in it rivers are known by the big number of fish. It permits to organize fishing with the guaranteed result in every part of the equatorium. Huge taimen, goldilocks, whitefish, grayling, freshwater cod, and perch are accessible for the sport and for entertaining fishing. Taiga near the Lake is abounding with animals and rather far in, one can catch in the sweep of the camera a maral, fox or bear.
The animals that the Mongols have in their farms are upwards picturesque - in the snow-covered step, splendid camels graze with shock oxen and scrubby horses. In the Darhatskaya Depression, one has an opportunity to see herds of reindeers.
On the side of the Lake there is the Monuments of Eld - Olennyi stones. Upright rock pillars have very well kept carvings and drawings and from afar they look like Stonage. Their age is more than 3 thousand years.
In winter, Mongols play national games on the ice: horse racing with frost shoes, wrestling, and making icy sculptures.
The district center is the settlement Mouren that is famous for its real Mongolian market where one can buy almost everything - from huge wolf skins up to rich yurts.
The Mongols are very kind, communicable and hospitable people, and besides that, they are very picturesque and unusual for town dwellers.

Darhatskaya Depression is situated on the West of Lake Houbsugoul, and is a taiga district relatively isolated by mountain ranges.
The indigenous live in the lost world, so there are Darhatskiye Mongols and The Zhaatans, and they are the most southern reindeer-breeders on Earth. They live in their national tents, moving on the alpine pastures with their herds of reindeer, as their people did many years ago.
They kept an extra historical lifestyle, and up to the present day, shamans control their life.
In Darhatskaya Depression, rivers are rich with fish and taiga give a lot of possibility to observe and to photograph wild animals.

Accommodation on the Lake is in comfortable and heated yurts in winter, or in big camping expedition tents.
In the warm time of the year, transference on the lake is realized by the mean of modern floatage, as in winter with the help of horses with frost shoes, or offroaders with guides.
The transference in taiga is possible on ready-made offroaders on not numerous roads, by horses, or in the launches on the rivers. Mongolian horses are scrubby and calm, so even unfit horsemen can drive them.

Full expedition food includes great number national dishes from meat of wild animals, yaks, and fresh fish.
